The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in the state of California aged 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The renowned video game developer lost his life when his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, according to.
