Shock as Beloved South African DJ Gunned Down in the City of Johannesburg.
A prominent South African radio and club DJ has been fatally gunned down in the metropolis of Johannesburg, causing national outrage across a country struggling with persistent crime.
Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the central business district on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the 40-year-old presenter was accosted by three individuals, one of whom shot at him before running away.
The motive behind the incident remains unclear and no one has been arrested have taken place, according to authorities.

Authorities indicated that Stock was attacked as he was leaving a building close to the Carlton Centre.

Surveillance tape reportedly captured a man with dreadlocked hair and wearing what looked like a guard's attire firing shots on Stock before running away.
The DJ sought to escape after he was shot but fell down a short distance away.
Officials noted that Stock had an weapon on his person and nothing was taken during the assault.
