Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Fans worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Local celebrations featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos show countless of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.
The procession path concluded at the stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and Ice Cube cruising a light blue classic car around the field.

However, Mark Walter received a less warm reception at the celebration. Video footage from the gathering appear to show him taking the stage to a combination of cheers and jeers, with negative shouts punctuating his address.
The championship acted as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, fans this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.
